Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 13 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of the Dive Signs website and to orders placed through www.divesigns.com.

Please read them before placing an order.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About Dive Signs

Dive Signs supplies custom diving stickers, labels and related products through our website.

In these Terms and Conditions:

“Dive Signs”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Dive Signs.

“You” and “your” refer to the person using our website or purchasing goods or services from us.

“Website” means www.divesigns.com.

“Products” means physical goods supplied by Dive Signs.

Some products may also include access to an associated online service, such as the Dive Signs Rescue Portal and hosted Rescue Record.

2. Using Our Website

You may use our website for lawful purposes, including browsing products, placing orders and accessing services associated with products you have purchased.

You must not use the website in a way that:

  • breaks any applicable law;
  • infringes another person’s intellectual property or other legal rights;
  • attempts to gain unauthorised access to the website, customer accounts, Rescue Records or other systems;
  • introduces viruses, malicious software or other harmful material;
  • interferes with the operation or security of the website; or
  • places an unreasonable or deliberately excessive load on our systems.

We may restrict or block access where reasonably necessary to protect our website, customers, systems or legal rights.

3. Product Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, prices and other information displayed on the website are accurate.

Because many Dive Signs products are custom made, the finished appearance may vary slightly from an on-screen preview or photograph. Screen settings can also affect the appearance of colours.

Where dimensions are given, small manufacturing tolerances may apply unless a precise tolerance is specifically stated.

Product photographs may show examples and may not represent the exact custom text, colours, dimensions or other options selected for your order.

4. Custom and Personalised Products

Many Dive Signs products are manufactured specifically to the customer’s requirements.

You are responsible for checking the information you submit, including names, wording, numbers, colours, dimensions and other custom requirements.

We will normally manufacture custom products using the information supplied with the order.

If you realise that you have made a mistake, please contact us as soon as possible. If production has not started, we will make reasonable efforts to amend the order.

Once production of a custom product has begun, it may not be possible to change or cancel it.

This does not affect your rights where we have made an error or where a product is faulty, damaged or not as described.

5. Artwork, Logos and Other Customer-Supplied Material

Where you provide text, photographs, logos, artwork, graphics or other material for use on a custom product, you confirm that you have the necessary right or permission for us to reproduce that material for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

You retain ownership of your own original material.

You give Dive Signs permission to use material you supply only to the extent reasonably necessary to manufacture your order, provide the associated service and deal with any related customer-service issue.

We may refuse material that we reasonably believe is unlawful, infringes another person’s rights, or is otherwise inappropriate for us to reproduce.

6. Orders

Placing an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products or services.

After you place an order, we will normally send an electronic confirmation.

We may contact you if information required to complete a custom product is missing, unclear or appears to contain an obvious error.

In exceptional circumstances we may be unable to accept or fulfil an order. For example, this could occur because of an obvious pricing error, unavailable materials, technical problems or because we cannot lawfully produce the requested content.

If we cannot fulfil an order for which you have already paid, we will refund the amount paid for the affected item or order.

7. Prices and Payment

Prices are shown on the website in the currency indicated.

The total price payable, including applicable delivery charges, will be shown during checkout before you place your order.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

We may change prices at any time, but a change will not normally affect an order that we have already accepted.

8. Delivery

Available delivery methods and charges are displayed during checkout.

We aim to manufacture and dispatch orders within the times indicated on the website, but manufacturing and delivery estimates are not guaranteed unless we expressly agree otherwise.

Where applicable, UK consumer law requires goods to be delivered within the agreed period or, where no period has been agreed, normally within 30 days.

We are not responsible for delays caused by events genuinely outside our reasonable control, but this does not remove any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

International customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes or customs charges imposed by their country unless we expressly state otherwise.

9. Cancellation and Returns

For many goods purchased online, UK consumers normally have a legal right to change their mind within 14 days.

However, this cancellation right does not generally apply to goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or are clearly personalised.

Because many Dive Signs products are manufactured specifically with your chosen text, dimensions, colours, artwork or other custom requirements, they may fall within this exception.

For non-custom products where the statutory cancellation right applies, you may notify us that you wish to cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods.

You must then return the goods in accordance with the applicable cancellation rules.

Nothing in this section affects your rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of consumer law.

10. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.

If we make a mistake with a custom product, or you receive goods that are faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible with details of the problem.

We may ask for photographs or other reasonable information to help us understand the issue.

Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, an appropriate remedy may include replacement, repair, price reduction or refund.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits the legal remedies available to you.

11. Dive Signs Rescue Stickers and Rescue Records

Certain Dive Signs products include access to a hosted Dive Signs Rescue Record through a QR code printed on the product.

The Rescue system is intended to make information chosen by the Rescue Record owner available to someone who scans the QR code or otherwise possesses its unique Rescue link.

The Rescue Record owner controls the information they choose to enter and publish.

Information deliberately published on a Rescue page may be viewed by anyone who scans the QR code or obtains its unique link. The QR code and unique Rescue link should therefore be treated as access information.

Medical information entered into the designated protected medical fields is encrypted and is not displayed through normal Dive Signs Rescue Manager administration or Admin Preview. Further information is available on our Rescue Record Privacy & Security page.

The Rescue system is intended to provide additional information that may be useful in an emergency. It is not a replacement for appropriate medical identification, emergency planning, established diving procedures or professional medical advice.

We cannot guarantee that a sticker will be found or scanned, that internet or mobile connectivity will be available, or that a third party will access or act upon the information provided.

12. Rescue Portal Accounts

Where a product includes a Rescue Portal account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You should notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

You are responsible for keeping your Rescue Record accurate and up to date and for deciding which information you wish to publish.

If you purchase a Rescue Sticker for another person, the Rescue Record owner should review the relevant privacy information and decide what information they wish to provide and publish.

13. Rescue Record Hosting

Where Rescue Record hosting is included with a product, the applicable hosting period will be stated in the product description or ordering information.

For Diver Rescue Stickers currently supplied with five years of Rescue Record hosting, the hosting period runs for the period specified with the product.

We may offer renewal of hosting when that period approaches expiry. Any renewal price and terms applicable at that time will be made clear before a renewal is purchased.

We will not automatically charge for a paid renewal unless you have expressly agreed to such an arrangement.

14. Website Accounts

If you create an account on our website, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access.

Please notify us if you become aware of unauthorised use of your account.

We may suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or investigation of misuse.

15. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Dive Signs name, branding, website content, original product designs, graphics and other material created by Dive Signs are owned by Dive Signs or used under appropriate licence.

You may use the website for normal personal browsing and purchasing purposes.

You must not reproduce or commercially exploit Dive Signs material without permission where doing so would infringe our intellectual property rights.

Nothing in this section claims ownership of artwork, logos, photographs or other intellectual property belonging to customers or third parties.

16. Website Availability

We aim to keep the website and associated online services available and functioning correctly, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

We may occasionally need to maintain, update or modify the website or associated services.

Temporary interruptions may also occur because of hosting, internet, telecommunications, security or other technical issues.

Where an online service forms part of a paid product, nothing in this section removes any statutory rights you may have in relation to that service.

17. Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

In particular, nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights relating to goods, services or digital content.

We are not responsible for losses that result from circumstances outside our reasonable control or losses that could not reasonably have been foreseen when the contract was made, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

If you are purchasing as a consumer, these Terms and Conditions do not exclude or restrict the rights and remedies provided to you by consumer law.

18. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Additional information about the handling of Dive Signs Rescue Record information is provided on our Rescue Record Privacy & Security page.

Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy.

19. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and may use third-party services, including payment providers.

We are not responsible for the content or availability of independent third-party websites.

When you use a third-party service, that provider may also apply its own terms and privacy information.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our products, services, website or applicable law.

The version applying to an order will normally be the version in force when the order is placed.

Changes to these Terms will not retrospectively remove rights you already have under an existing contract.

The date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms and Conditions were last updated.

21. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the law applicable where you live, including rights relating to where legal proceedings may be brought.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to deprive a consumer of any mandatory protection provided by applicable law.
