Diver Rescue Stickers
In an emergency, every second counts.
If you become injured, ill or unable to communicate during a diving emergency, a Dive Signs Diver Rescue Sticker gives your buddy, skipper or rescue personnel rapid access to the information you choose to provide.
Each SOLAS retroreflective sticker is personalised with your chosen name, nickname or callsign and features a permanent QR code linked to your dedicated Dive Signs Rescue page.
Simply scan the code using a smartphone—no special app is required.
Your Rescue Information in One Place
Your mobile-friendly Rescue page can include:
- A photograph to help identify you
- Up to three emergency contacts with one-touch CALL buttons
- A clearly highlighted Next of Kin
- Allergies, medications and medical conditions
- Blood type and GP or doctor details
- Dive location, dates and boat or dive-centre information
- Buddy or dive-team details
- Emergency plans and instructions
- Local emergency, diving-medical and insurance-assistance numbers
- Click here to view a live demo Rescue Page – https://www.divesigns.com/rescue/DSR-DRGET8MS6YPAVUKL
You decide how much information to provide. Detailed personal or medical information is optional.
An Updateable Technical Dive Plan
The optional Dive Plan can record:
- Maximum planned depth
- Planned runtime
- Breathing gases and switch depths
- Decompression and bailout-plan notes
- Planned entry and expected surface times
Before diving, you can mark the plan as current. The Rescue page then shows whether it is scheduled, active, overdue or expired.
This provides useful additional context if the original dive team cannot explain the plan, while keeping the system straightforward for recreational divers who do not need the technical fields.
Emergency and Responder Support
The Rescue page also includes:
- Expandable diving-casualty first-aid guidance
- An editable, on-device incident timeline
- A concise Responder Handover View
- An Essential / Low-Bandwidth View
The incident timeline can record when the casualty surfaced and when emergency services, oxygen, CPR or an AED were used. The times can be corrected and copied for handover. Timeline information remains on the device being used and is not transmitted to Dive Signs.
The first-aid information supports—but does not replace—recognised training, professional medical assistance or instructions from an emergency-service call handler.
Permanent QR Code—Information You Can Update
Your QR code is permanent—your information isn’t.
The sticker owner receives access to their secure Dive Signs Rescue Portal, where they can update their photograph, emergency contacts, medical information, location and Dive Plan whenever required.
Changes appear the next time the sticker is scanned. You do not need to replace the sticker or generate another QR code.
The Rescue page also shows when the diver last confirmed that their information was accurate.
One sticker. One permanent Rescue ID. Information you can keep current.
Rescue-page hosting and support for 5 years are included in the sticker price. Hosting can subsequently be renewed without replacing the sticker or changing its Rescue ID.
Designed for Diving Equipment
Diver Rescue Stickers are manufactured using highly visible SOLAS retroreflective material and protected with our high-endurance laminate.
They are waterproof and suitable for equipment including:
- Diving cylinders
- CCR canisters and scrubber cases
- Metal and composite backplates
- DPVs and dive scooters
- Helmets
- Dive boxes and equipment cases
- Boats and suitable watersports equipment
Unlike NFC-only tags, the QR code works normally on metal surfaces such as diving cylinders.
Simple Ordering
When ordering, provide:
- The diver’s full name for their Rescue Record and public Rescue page.
- The name, nickname or callsign to be printed on the sticker.
- The Rescue Portal email address for the person who should receive access.
The Rescue Portal email can be different from the billing email and is not printed on the sticker.
There are no ECI documents to download, complete or upload. Once the Rescue ID has been created, the owner enters the information they want to provide through their Rescue Portal.
If the sticker is a surprise gift, you can use your own email initially and contact Dive Signs to transfer portal access to the recipient later.
Important Privacy Information
The Rescue Portal account is protected by the owner’s login details. However, the public Rescue page must be accessible to anyone who physically scans the QR code so that it can work in an emergency.
Only add information that you are comfortable making accessible in this way. A photograph and detailed personal, medical or technical information are not required.
Please consider carefully what information you choose to make available.
